As we ring in this new year, I want to take a moment to highlight why I’m running for City Council in my home of Jackson Heights and Elmhurst. A better and more just future is possible. Together, we can build a New York that works for everyone. Join us: http://voteshekar.com
Here in #Elmhurst and #JacksonHeights, we’ve fought togethr for years for tenant and immigrant rights, for our public schools, more open space & safe streets, for child care access, & against a racist criminal system. Now, we will take this fight to City Hall.
Vikram is 5 years old and Ajay is 2. That means we’re always running. Running after them when they take off down the block on their scooters, to get them to eat their food, to even change a diaper before bedtime! It. doesn't. stop. 🤣
New York City is facing an affordability, racial justice, and public health crisis. We’re proposing the most comprehensive, community-based solutions to address the interlocking challenges facing us.
Since launching in November, we’ve had an outpouring of support from community activists, local leaders, students, and volunteers. We can’t do this without you! Join us in building a New York that works for everyone: https://voteshekar.com
