Back up napkin vaccine math for Ontario:

14.5 million of us. About 3 million of those are under 18 and won't get vax right away. So 11.5 million. Need about 80 per cent to get vax based on best estimates. So 9.2 million people. Double-dose required: 18.4 million shots needed.

+
Ontario vaccinated just under 7k yesterday. We'll round that off. Would need 2,629 days at current rate. That's over seven years.

If we double rate, 1,315 days. 3.6 years.

Double rate AGAIN: 657 days. 1.8 years.

Double rate AGAIN: 328 days. A bit over 10 months.

+
To get it all done in that 10-months+ frame, that means getting to (and sustaining) 56,000 shots a day.

Reminder: we did 7,000 yesterday.

This is all just big-picture numbers, but it shows you the scale of the effort.
