I think about the people I love and care about. If COVID could make them very sick, I would want them to get the vaccine rather than be at the risk of going to the hospital and God forbid not coming back.

Unfortunately, the communication with regard to the vaccine has as usual been lacking and so people are not having a real conversation about what this is.

A real conversation would address the fact that Covid is a virus like any other virus, and we aren't going to eliminate viruses from society, so the lockdowns were a ridiculous waste of time.

A real conversation would also address the fact that viruses attack certain groups more than others, and those groups required heavy protection they did not receive.

A real conversation would address the distinction between the technical aspects of mask efficacy and the reality of life in the world, where mask use is typically poor.

For example, you would wear a mask over your nose mouth to prevent giving the virus to someone else, while you would cover your mouth, nose and eyes to prevent getting it.

Medically, there is no reason to wear a mask when you are alone.

Medically, if you have the Covid virus in you but do not have symptoms, you aren't going to give it to anyone else, so why do you need a mask on?

In a classic case of cutting off your nose to spite your face, we have bankrupted small businesses and made Amazon and Wal-Mart wealthier in the name of ending a virus that is highly transmissible and pervasive.

Frighteningly there are actual laws under consideration about removing people from the home if they have Covid. Think about that. Mothers being separated from their children and effectively jailed.

We desperately need proper communication about the Covid pandemic, not extremist rhetoric on either side. Yes there is a thing. Yes people get sick. Yes the vaccine can help people not die. No not everybody needs to take it.

I continue to wait for someone to finally stop this madness because a lot of people are getting hurt mentally by it. There are people who are very, very scared of human contact right now. The psychological aspects of the management of this pandemic have been horrible.

The funny thing is, if a person has Covid, they would probably benefit from several different kinds of medications that are not widely promoted. However, the media has created such a scare over those medicines that people refuse to take them when available!

You absolutely can get a positive result and a negative result on the test on two different days.

You absolutely can have cold symptoms that do not resemble Covid, and have Covid.

The symptoms can morph and change.

You absolutely can go to the clinic and be told that if you have Covid, the best you can do is take Vitamin C and hope you don't get chest pains or have trouble breathing.

These are the realities of Covid management today. And people who desperately need to go to church, the mosque or the synagogue are told that they are basically putting their lives at risk from prayer.

But it's OK to go to a property destruction rally.

I ask the question, where are the leaders? Where are the people who don't care about promoting themselves or making a buck off of this thing? Where are the people who are in a position to stop the madness? Are they maybe all being silenced?

There are absolutely people in the Jewish community who will tell you that they've been threatened into going along with "Covid protocol" and they will tell you not to sign any kind of consent form they put in front of you.

There are doctors and patients who will tell you to stay away from the system because "they'll be all up in your business once you get started with the Covid stuff."

So paradoxically, at a time when people need the most support from the government, we are very likely seeing a scenario where they absolutely stay away because of fear of what can happen to them if they seek help.

Prisoners released from jail because of covid, and people sent to jail because they won't wear a mask.

Children abused because they can't leave home.
Children abused because they're not in school and can't tell a teacher.
Children abused because their parent had to go into the clinic alone, and so they are alone in a car.
Children unable to speak to their friends.
Children masked!
