WHY DONT WE CATER CONFERENCES TO A NON SCIENCE AUDIENCE and HAVE PEOPLE LEARN AND GET EXCITED ABOUT SCIENCE?!?!?!
All conferences should let members of the "general public" go in for free or at the most half the rate of students. How are we gonna fix the reputation the science is elite and exclusive if we don't do that
I legit can't believe if I want to attend a conference as someone who is currently a non-student, I'm expected to pay the same rate as a PROFESSOR.
Non-students should be the cheapest option as the goal of research conferences should be to communicate our findings and inspire ppl with how incredible science is
