Because if it goes ahead the court will look at @cpsuk who are charged with “institutional bias” from their membership of the controversial scheme. Membership involves completing an annual questionnaire to receive a rating. @stonewalluk advises members on how to achieve top marks
There are 100s of public sector bodies who belong: @HouseofCommons @UKHouseofLords @WelshGovernment @scotgov, universities, armed forces, police, NHS & regulatory bodies. All receive higher marks if they agree to @stonewalluk gender identity theory which has no grounding in law
Years ago, many LGB people supported Diversity Champions scheme. The original aim was to encourage employers to understand their legal responsibility not to discriminate against LGB employees in any way & highlight best practice. Today it's a very different & concerning picture.
Diversity Champions members are rewarded in the annual index for implementing “Stonewall Law” instead of the Equality Act 2010. That means prioritising gender over sex & implying that “gender identity” is a protected characteristic when it is not.
Changing language to omit references to biological sex and encouraging use of pronouns is also seen as positive. In addition, employers are encouraged to make previously women only facilities available to males.
None of these steps is legally required but they are all pillars of the gender identity theory @stonewalluk now pushes across the UK.
Membership costs £2,500 +VAT per year and @CPS has 2 memberships for England & Scotland so pays £6,000 per year. And then there's the cost of additional training. Add it all up for the public sector. Some estimate that it makes up as much as £2.5m of @stonewalluk's £8.3m income
We encourage you to support this important challenge. It's time for regressive influence of Diversity Champions to be exposed. Most employers have little idea of what it is they are supporting. They need to have a close look at the scheme, the questionnaire & the guidance
