NEVER FORGET:

In Feb 2020 Boris Johnson gave a speech saying that he would DELIBERATELY not restrict the economy because of COVID.

He said that Britain would save the world like 'Superman' by being the only country not to restrict international trade.

This was a month...

...before he went on This Morning and said that the country should "take it on the chin, take it all in one go and allow the disease, as it were, to move through the population, without taking as many draconian measures."

In February, he had already said that the...

..virus would encourage countries to close off trade, by triggering "a panic and a desire for market segregation that go beyond what is medically rational to the point of doing real and unnecessary economic damage."

Protecting lives costs money, see? And that is BAD. So what..

...the world needed was somebody to say 'NO' to COVID restrictions that could harm trade.

"...at that moment humanity needs some government somewhere that is willing at least to make the case powerfully for freedom of exchange.”

Who could THAT be, I hear you ask?...

You guessed it. In the face of a global pandemic that could kill millions,the UK would be the country “ready to take off its Clark Kent spectacles and leap into the phone booth and emerge with its cloak flowing as the supercharged champion”.



And he did everything..

...to play down the severity of COVID after that, going round hospitals shaking hands etc, undermining the scientific advisers' health advice, refusing to endorse the strictest measures.

And even after the shit hit the fan shortly afterwards, with Johnson himself taking up a..

...hospital bed when deaths started to rack up and the media started to ask hard(ish) questions, he continued to dither. Restrictions were introduced later than scientists advised. Important measures like PPE were left until the last minute, and either done on the cheap, like..

...the millions of pounds of faulty PPE on a plane from Turkey, or done for £££BILLIONS by Tory pals with no experience in the field.

NHS workers should have had a pay rise - instead they got a badge and some clapping.

Billions more was wasted on test & trace Moonshot,...

...and then never mentioned again.

Scientists clamoured for stricter controls, but they got tiers, with exception after loophole after exception after loophole.

Kids were kept in schools, so their parents could go to work - forget the risk.

Things only got stricter if the..

... death & transmission rates started to go up, and then it would be one tiny little restriction and then stop - just in case things got better without damaging The Money.

The Money.

Even now, experts were calling for a new lockdown in December, but Johnson delayed to...

...'save Christmas'. Christmas = KERCHING, and cancelling Christmas costs you popularity...as well as lives.

Experts reckon up to 25k COVID deaths this Jan, from infections in Dec.

Those poor people are ALREADY DEAD - it just hasn't happened to them yet.

All of this..

...horror and suffering, up to 100k deaths by the time its eventually over, MORE probably - could have been avoided if the Tories had put people before money.

It's as simple as that.

So when Boris Johnson goes on TV and acts like we're all in this together, tries to invoke...

...some sense of Great British solidarity - never forget.

Never forget that he has put money ahead of your life from the VERY BEGINNING, and never stopped.

Don't be fooled by all the "poor Boris, tough job" chat.

He DID THIS TO US.

For MONEY.

Addition - let's not forget what the money was FOR - #Brexit.

Johnson must have known how badly the economy is going to tank after Brexit - his one ace-in-the-hole was a chlorinated chicken, NHS-selling trade deal with Donald Trump, and last February there was every chance...

...that Trump would not be around for a second term - unless of course he attempted a coup.

And how much of a muppet is he going to look if Brexit destroys the UK economy, instead of magically boosting it?

So the thought of spending money on something as inconsequential as...

...our tiny lives, when he needed EVERY PENNY to make Brexit look like a success - never gonna happen.

Boris Johnson has let tens of thousands of people die, coming up to HUNDREDS of thousands, to save face, save Brexit, and in typical Tory fashion, save OUR money.

Update: Now we have #BodyBagBoris giving press conferences to say that he's "deeply sorry" for more than 100,000 people dying.

But he won't answer questions on what the government did wrong, how we got here.

Apparently the Tories did "all they could" - so how are 100,000+ ...

...people dead in one of the world's richest countries, one with universal healthcare?

Tories did all they could, to GET RICHER off the crisis.
