One thing that made 2020 much more colour- & beautiful for me was ART🎨, especially my newly discovered love for digital Rwandan artworks.
I gladly took this fascination into the new year, admiring various masterpieces on my walls.
These are my TOP 3 🇷🇼 DIGITAL ARTISTS👇 (thread)
3- @ouwera_ provoked homesickness + a warm ♥️ in me with her illustration of a Kigali sunset, putting much emphasis on lovely details.
Her other pieces are mystic & powerful - check her out!
Plus she beautifully wrote about being a digital illustrator 👉 https://www.odileuwera.com/blog/peubulu3qaq6zpvo
2- it took me a while to decide which artwork I want to get by @mika_xh because he tells so many amazing stories from ancient Rwanda that I all want to learn about!
His unique comic style really catches young & old.
An inspired & inspiring artist you need to know!
1- @Kalimaalain1 initially made me fall in love with this art form the moment I saw his masterpieces at the intersection of reality & fantasy, modernity & tradition, present & past, creativity & clarity.
And besides producing art, he also does tutorials to encourage more artists!
I couldn’t hold myself from commissioning the @Kalimaalain1 for a special piece. And he captured the story I wanted told + my feelings & our family love like no one else in his artwork! He’s the artist of my heart, really.
Commission him, buy his art, & watch his videos!
