One of the things the new Alphabet union is mad about is that Goggle isn't doing *enough* to stop "YouTube radicalization". Silicon Valley is one of the few places on earth where workers are somehow shittier than management
The stuff about having the freedom to decline work that 'doesn't align with one's values' will certainly be applied in a one directional way. Equal treatment for contractors is one of the few good things
I also wonder if any NGOs, foundations, etc. will start influencing companies through internal union activism. I'd be curious about the background and connections of the people who organized this
wonder how long till this promise is broken. Then again its likely the only people who would join this union more or less agree with it across the board anyway
