Pastors who destroyed people’s lives should be held accountable to some degree.

A woman I know lost her marriage because of prophecies from her pastor.

She told her pastor that her husband has been hanging around some men suspected to be occultists. Pastor said he will
pray over it and get back to her. He came back days later and told her that her husband is in a cult, that he is due for a human sacrifice and that he is planning to kill her. She fasted and prayed and became distant towards her husband.

She kept observing things and
reporting to the pastor for prayers. One Sunday, her husband’s friends visited and they went to a different part of the house to discuss. The lady rushed and called the pastor to update him, and he immediately advised her to run for her life, and never look back. She took
her 5 children and fled. Went to their schools to alert their teachers not to allow her husband to pick them up, citing that he wants to kill them.

She went back to the pastor who kept advising her to never go back home. That the day her husband’s friends visited, they were
finally there to kill her and her children.

Her husband looked for her. He didn’t understand what happened. This was a woman he started out poor with before he got a job at a petroleum company after school. He went everywhere, asking friends and family about his wife and
Children, and everyone turned their backs on him. He was so hurt, so he demanded that the youngest child be left with him. She was still a baby, but his wife refused. A family meeting was scheduled and the wife insisted that her husband is a ritualist, in the presence of
friends and family, and that she won’t endanger her children. The man divorced traditionally, left and never looked back. Years went by and some of his kids graduated from the university. Some got married, and never invited him. He watched his wife hire someone to replace
him in one of the wedding ceremonies.

Years went by, and their oldest daughter tried reconciling her parents, but the man swore never to have anything to do with her. His questions were, “am I not a ritualist anymore? Won’t I kill you if you return to my house?”
Everyone has spoken, begged and counseled the man. Even the pastor tried to reconcile them but the man refused. To date, she’s living with her oldest daughter, while the man remarried and has another child.

She’s unmarried and being taken care of by her children but
I heard that her oldest son told her to find a companion since their father has moved on. There was no point waiting since he swore never to be with her again.
