We are happy to present you the Kick to the Future awards 2020.

3-0 (2KO) this year, Momotaro went from unknown in January 2020 to the main card of the biggest K-1 event of the year in January 2021. A hungry 21 year old with heavy hands. Awesome revelation out of K-1 Krest gym.
Difficult choice, we chose to reward a very complete performance over a more flashy one. Riku Kazushima showed so much maturity at only 17 in his first pro experience that we couldn't get past it. The superb southpaw will be back in action next month.
At 17 and 18 with 1 professional fight combined Kodama and Furumiya produced a battle that had no right to be this good. Fantastic back and forth action. Both fighters have a bright future ahead of them.
The thunderous high kick KO Fukui scored for his pro debut is as brutal a prospect win you can find. His second professional fight didn't go his way but he'll stay on the radars for a while after such a vicious finish.
No hesitation on this one. This year the amateur scene was owned by Yuta Matsuyama who not only won the most prestigious under 18 amateur kickboxing title in dominant manner but also scored the most brutal KO in the competition's history during the finals.
To cap off an already amazing year he had a flawless professional debut in december, demolishing his more experienced opponent in 30 seconds !
Yuta will undoubtedly be a candidate for prospect of the year 2021.
