Great that @guardian & others focusing on important emerging disorder that is #LongCovid

This piece highlights great new pre-print from @AthenaAkrami @ahandvanish & team describing in detail clinical features of 3,762 patients with chronic & highly disabling symptoms

Not only is it 1st fine-grain clinical description of this disorder, it is also ground breaking in that the research is patient-led

Patients worldwide met online & designed, conducted & published research into their symptoms

Lots of really important data in this paper

Fatigue & post exertional malaise most common symptoms in disorder with huge variety of symptoms across all bodily systems

Brain fog & cognitive symptoms also very common as are dizziness/balance, sensory & (less so) motor symptoms

So much we don't know about this disorder & research urgently needed into clinical features, mechanisms and treatment
