In these unpredictable times, emotional wellbeing & anxiety reduction must be paramount. Whether the child is in school or learning remotely at home. A thread:

1.Provide structure- the child may have different teachers supervising learning in school, let the children know 1/
2/ ... in advance where possible of the teacher, use daily schedules with scheduled brain breaks

2. Reinforce what is remaining constant

3.Ensure supports are available -eg wobble cushion, weighted lap cushion, fidgets, calm box, worry time, movement breaks/sensory circuits etc
3/

4. There is also an opportunity to focus on interest based activities, with skills development as the focus, helping with anxiety reduction. #Monotropism

5. Speak to the child - what will help them? If they will be taught in a different classroom could their chair and desk be brought to that room?
