This is a really good example of excellent "economy of line." This drawing uses as few contour lines as possible to depict an extremely realistic figure that comes off as (deceptively) cartoony at first glance. https://twitter.com/theco_2/status/1346242399958306816
I love the contour of her face here, especially the chin. It perfectly conveys the exact tilt of her head. Such great forshortening with just a few strokes! You know EXACTLY where her mass is in 3D space.
These armpits and shoulders are sublime. Anyone with life drawing experience knows how difficult it is to convey this correctly. With a change of just a few millimeters to the contour lines, this character will read as either too muscular or too thin. But this is JUST RIGHT.
This hair is deceptively simple too. Not too many lines, not too simplified either. Just enough to convey the FEELING of her hair. You know what it would feel like to run your fingers through it!
This is something that I think a lot of anime and manga artists do especially well. The details in this drawing are subtle, not superficial. The picture looks simple at first, but reveals it's complexity the more you look at it. https://twitter.com/theco_2/status/1346242399958306816
A lot of less experienced artists tend to emphasize surface level details to hide flaws in their fundamentals. You know what I'm talking about right? Busy drawings that look impressive at first, but fall apart upon close scrutiny.
I tend to prefer art like this, where the appeal lies in how much the artist can convey with how little. Every little decision is interesting and meaningful

(I'm not saying ALL art should be like this, this just happened to catch my eye at the moment) https://twitter.com/theco_2/status/1335988317469327364?s=20
What a wonderful artist! They've definitely put in their thousands of hours of life studies to get to this point! Makes sense that they're a great animator too! https://twitter.com/theco_2/status/1343979886940049410?s=20
Yup! This artist is EXCELLENT at life drawing! https://twitter.com/theco_2/status/1339922078162554880?s=20
Remember kids! If you want to get good at cartoons, you gotta get good at life drawing too! https://twitter.com/theco_2/status/1325483212286566400?s=20
