If there are unpaid carers struggling out there, please reach out. There’s a network of carer activists on Twitter who may be able to help/identify local support. It feels as if things are pressing down, but we understand and we’ll try to help.

Carers groups exist on facebook and can offer advice, listening ear and practical assistance...Carers Views Count is administered by and run with carers.
Condition specific organisations often offer carer support..check out Alzhiemers, MND, Heart, Parkinsons and other charities often continuing support via phone lines eg. https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/about-us/parkinsons-uk-scotland
Carers orgs often offer online training to help you with resilience, self care (yes, I know!) and wellbeing. Link into your local centre to see what they have on offer. Renfrewshire Carers has developed an extensive training programme. https://renfrewshirecarers.org.uk/adult-carers/ 
Some organisations offer financial and welfare rights advice. Citizens Advice has benefit checkers and was offering some face to face support. Check with your local bureau if you need. You can also check online for country specific info. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/scotland/family/

Shielding support is offered by a range of orgs..eg if you need help with prescriptions, accessing food etc. This will vary locally, but local charities/community groups have good structures in place. Try National Shielding line in first instance (Scotland) 0800 111 4000.
Carers UK maybe able to help you identify local shielding support outwith Scotland.
And if things do seem overwhelming, pls ask for help from organisations like the Samaritans 116 123, Breathing Space 0800 83 85 87.

For parent of disabled children, the closure of schools and continued closure of other support has been hard. Charities @SMRCResearch @ENABLEScotland @KindredScotland and and other continue to offer family advice and support.
