UK could have introduced air travel measures to safely manage the inbound & outbound flow of passengers with #COVID19 testing, & health screening protocols

UK decided not to.

Now, we’re in a third national stay-at-home lockdown — but with open borders, no tests, & no screening.
Given UK is unable to safely manage the inbound & outbound flow of passengers from around the world (as there are no measures in place) — any progress from #Lockdown3 will be wiped out by either reimporting COVID19, or by allowing new strains to enter without any detection.
Countries all over the world continue to demonstrate that air travel + COVID19 can coexist if there are multiple measures (such as testing) & screening protocols in place

It’s safer for public health, & provides much-needed certainty for aviation sector amid this global pandemic
