Unpopular opinion, since I am going up against a plurality of you, but a dude's gotta speak his mind today:
"TransTwitter" is not only too binary but also too femme and too lesbian. It doesn't even represent the diversity of offline reality.
And this is hurting people like me.

I don't know how the binary, femme, and lesbian norms came about or why they get perpetuated.
But I've had enough people comment on this that I know it is real and that it marginalizes a wide range of queer identities, attitudes, experiences, and personalities.

Honestly, I'm just one person with a small account, so I doubt I can make anything more than a miniscule change in my corner here.
In all large groups, a certain paradigm and form of success comes to predominate; and people imitate to get big or else fade into the margins.

It's shitty that even in the domain of queerness and transness, which is all about individual uniquess and expression, a certain "regression to the mean" transpires and we get a lot of variations on a single theme instead of an Amazonian jungle of flora and fauna.
I don't fit into the pattern of the normative trans person on estrogen here.
And today I felt the pain of my non-conformity.
I think I'll stick around - but with different expectations.
I'll just continue being myself. I really have no other viable option.
