A reminder that before the pandemic, Lecce & Ford provoked strikes by trying to raise class sizes by 6 kids & force students to do 4 online courses to graduate — the latter part of a plan to privatize high school. They used US reform Orwellianisms like “modernizing” to sell it.
The tech fantasy Lecce spent an entire year selling has been disrupted. The disruptor disrupted. The curtain lifted.

We see it with our kids. Where possible, they need to be together, learning together — teens, too. When this ends, we need to demand it. School is not a screen.
One more thing: we asked Lecce, repeatedly, “who came up with an ed plan that forced more kids online than any other place in N America?”. We never got answer.

Why? It was likely the same pool of US consultants that are currently screwing up Ontario’s pandemic response.
