You’re not lying about your experiences
You are ace - and you do not have to prove it to anyone
Demisexuality is real, you’re not just lying for attention - if you were why choose something that so many will give negative attention for? - I promise you’re not just an attention seeker
There are people who will want to be with you romantically (if you want that) even if you never have sex with them; you are not just a warm body, you are a person
It’s okay to be demi and enjoy masturbation, foreplay, sex, and anything pleasurable in that way - demisexuality is about attraction, not action
It’s okay if you don’t have a demi experience that mirrors “never felt sexual attraction until I was married/in a serious relationship”
It’s okay if you DO have a demi experience where you never felt sexual attraction until you were married/ in a serious relationship
It’s okay if you DO have a demi experience where you never felt sexual attraction until you were married/ in a serious relationship
The gray stripe on the ace pride flag is for you - you are a part of the ace community
A demi experience is ace “enough” - you do not need to prove your aceness
It’s okay to be demi and never want sex
It’s okay to be demi and polyamorous
It’s okay to be demi and want lots of sex
Each demi experience is its own, no one can take that away from you
You are worth good things; you are worth kindness, and having your orientation respected, and having your boundaries respected
Being cis heteroromantic & demisexual means you’re still demisexual - no one can take that from you
I know it can feel like you’re in the shadows of the LGBTQIA+ community but you deserve your space here; there is no seating limit
I know it can be frustrating to feel like you have to explain and explain and explain your orientation; I promise there are people who will listen and who will want to learn even if they don’t completely understand
It’s okay to be demisexual & aromantic - I feel like we don’t talk about that as much here but I see you, I’m glad you’re here
I love you and you are worth every good thing in your life and more and I promise, I really promise, there are people who accept and love you just as you are - demisexuality and all
