I rated Kovacic a lot before. But since February/ March he hasn’t been good. He’s had patches where he’s been good at times but most games he doesn’t nothing off the ball, passing is very poor for a midfielder, horrible play defensively, offers nothing in attack.

There are attributes where he obviously he is talented at like his ability to avoid press and his ball carrying. It’s just not enough if you want him in the Chelsea midfield.

He doesn’t offer a lot at all if you really break it down and everyone I ask only say he is a good dribbler or he was our POTY last year. It took even me a while to clock and I’ve spoke about it in GCs if you’re in some with me but after yesterday it was enough.

I don’t see a future for him here. He doesn’t offer enough in that attacking 8 role like Havertz. I’d get Gallagher back from loan because he’ll be hungry for games if and when Havertz doesn’t start. He offers more going forward. He’ll be eager to impress.

Offer more off the ball and he won’t mind being backup. Unlike Kovacic. Was a big big fan until I started breaking down what kind of player he is and as games constantly showed me what kind of player he is. He’s not one for Chelsea XI. Decent squad player tho.
