It's wise to stay informed, and right now nothing is more important than keeping distance, wearing masks and staying home.

But make sure and give yourself a break too. Nothing wrong with unplugging for a bit and having some fun.

(At home, safely)
If you're bored, or stuck for stuff to do, here's a thread!

First up, because it's close to my heart, making music.

Music is a major part of my existence. Not just financially (although it is that), but it nourishes me in every way. I wouldn't make it if I didn't LOVE it.
But there are a bazillion reasons to make music, and 'just for fun' is as valid as any other. Making enjoyable sounds is PURE PLEASURE.

If you think you can't? Well, you're wrong. Shit, DM me and I'll help you get started.
Next, painting, or woodcraft, or any other kind of art. Most of these I SUCK at, and that's almost a great reason to do 'em!

I do little carvings and wood burnings and stuff. They suck, and people rarely see them... And that's fine!

And if you wanna share? That's fine too.
Sticking with stuff I like, COOKING. If you 'can't cook' (you can) now is a great time to learn how to make the stuff you LOVE.

If you wanna help our restaurants, buy a voucher. If you want recipes or help, again, shout me up.
LISTENING to music. If you have time to spare - and don't get me wrong, I know many of us often don't, me included - fill it with sound.

You never got jazz but wanted to? Shit, now is the time! Personal recommendation: Scenery by Ryo Fukui.
Friends and family. Now is a great time to tell the people you love, that you love them.

Not out of fear, out of joy! We miss each other. Let 'em know, feel warm, and get a hot frisson of connection. Everyone is a winner.
Embrace ritual. I don't mean magick rites (altho that's cool too), but reject routine in favour of enjoying small processes.

Make some te, enjoy how it sounds, how it smells... Every little step. Life is lovely, in tiny ways.
BE (this is the last and most important one) RIDICULOUS.

It's a shit time. The virus is a bitch, the govts suck. But you don't!

Embrace all the nonsense that you love, even if it's daft. I spent the night by a fire pit, thrashing around my garden to Children of Bodom. Do you đź’–
