Welp, it’s no surprise that BITE—the toothbrush share startup—couldn’t survive this pandemic.

I‘ll miss finding all the BITE brushes scattered around the city and bringing them home to charge them.

It was a great idea while it lasted. Thank you to @pwnkip and their team.
Really nice design so the brush doesn’t touch the ground, but hovers 1/2” above.
Everyone remembering BITE is forgetting about their wild success beating Ford GoBrush in the consumer market. The difference? BITE was dockless and electric

GoBrush had to pivot to a B2B model—providing shared toothbrushes to employees who had to stay in the office overnight.
Thinking about the magic days of BITE. If you lived in a denser part of the city, sometimes you’d get lucky in the morning and your doorstep would look like this.

In late February when I walked 6 blocks (!) to find the nearest brush, I had a feeling things were going downhill...
