So..Interesting story. I have my In Laws living with us. they are mid 80's and are Croatian. This weekend after I pumped a shit load of alcohol into them I asked them about their lives before Canada & what it was like in Europe in WW2 (I am a monster history buff-secret passion)

My father in law told me his story of escaping the former Yugoslavia through the Austrian Mountains with Guards shooting at him and dogs chasing him. As a kid Dealing with Nazis & with Russians but the worst were the partisans. seeing villagers being huddled into buildings

and then set on fire. He said he still has nightmares of the screams....& the smell of burning flesh..said there is nothing on earth that can describe that (sobering conversation). My mother In law told me as a young girl she had to deal with the Einsatzgruppen (Nazi death squads

The horrors as a 6/7 yr old stay for ever. She told me many of her family were conscripted into the German Army, told me they went to Stalingrad and never came back. The evil they saw and dealt with I think most cannot comprehend. So I asked them....what do they think about

todays society and how their daughters & son in laws act. Both did not say much (why would they say anything evil of their daughters) but I could tell by there actions & demeanor if the shit really hits the fan they would be the first to fail...horribly.

Our society is weak AF

For me it was fascinating to hear these stories at the same time they were impressed in what I knew (I think we both had a certain level of respect gained after this). I asked them (in time) if I could record them in telling these stories. History repeats (as they mentioned)

and just look at what happened in 1992....
