Oh nonsense. People can be members of identity groups & still be treated as individuals at the same time.

If I see a black man, he could be a doctor or a street sweeper, a policeman or a criminal, a Christian, Jew, Muslim or atheist, a conservative, libertarian, Marxist, liberal, Social Justice Activist, His identity as 'black man' conveys no meaningful information.
The objection to identity politics is not to people having identities they find meaningful, it's an objection to politicising identity & telling people that because someone has a certain identity, they should think, feel & act a certain way as tho they are not individuals.
