Since I wanted to learn something new, I have been developing my personal website with @nuxt_js and I couldn't be happier with it, so I thought about sharing this in here đŸ§”đŸ‘‡
There is a lot of hype around other frameworks for building static websites (which is fully deserved), but I think Nuxt has nothing to envy them, especially in terms of developer experience and end results.
Since the project is simple (plus I have never had strong feelings about writing classes and using BEM) I decided to give @tailwindcss a go.
What convinced me? Its flexible customisation, how fast it is for prototyping, and that it is not that opinionated due to its atomicity.
I have also used @prismicio as a CDN for the posts I have been writing, which I found super easy to integrate with Nuxt. Kudos to whoever wrote the documentation!
The repository is available in here in case anybody wants to check this out and eventually contribute to it / fork it.
And, as always, ANY feedback is more than welcome! https://github.com/mobregozo/portfolio
Last but not least, I have shipped this website with @Netlify which integration with Git makes everything super easy, and the free tier is quite good already.
Even though I am not a big fan of cheeky self-promotion and there is still a lot of room for improvement on this website, here is a picture of the Lighthouse score that I was able to achieve by using these technologies that finally encouraged me to create this thread.
Some typos and improvements were already pointed out, so it was worth sharing this! 😊 Thanks again for the feedback to those who took the time to do so.
