i think it would be interesting if the High Republic era jedi had extremely colourful robes and clothes and the only reason the Prequel era jedi had earthy stoic colours and simple robes was because thats what they thought the Jedi were like

if yoda were alive through this time he wouldve just rolled with it as a joke even if he knew abt the old colourfulness because its yoda the old guy is the closest thing the original trilogy had to a wise trickster figure that was actually written endearingly and not horribly

sort of like how people today think medieval armour or clothing was ragged and austere but instead it was just extremely wacky and colourful

before you say "what about the jedi in the original trilogy" Luke Skywalker was prancing around in ep 6 with an extremely fruity looking black shirt/tight pants combo so anything goes. we dont talk about the sequels btw

i think star wars is at its best when it is extremely campy tbh!
