Friends, I have heard from many of you across the political spectrum regarding the upcoming vote to certify the vote of the electoral college in the presidential election. (1/8)
This vote to certify electoral votes is momentous, perhaps the most so of my entire tenure. I do not plan to commit to a position until the evidence is weighed and the debate concluded. I take my job seriously, and will consider it carefully. (2/8)

Unfortunately, Republicans are a minority in the House of Representatives. In order for an objection to prevail, every Republican and ten Democrats in the House of Representatives would have to approve it. It simply will not happen.(5/8)
We must look for real solutions rather than a guaranteed failure of a symbolic gesture that only strengthens the hands of the Democrats by setting a dangerous precedent.
