The day I talked to Deena the world felt a bit on
-- as it does today -- but I left the conversation feeling completely buoyed.

With four @GWR under her belt, she took the decision to break the record for most penalties scored in 24 hours. The official record stood at 1,111. She scored 7,876 penalties and smashed the record by an astounding 6,765 kicks.
It might seem like a random challenge to take on but she did it all to raise awareness alongside @EPFinitiative of the inequalities that exist for women and girls in football -- something we've been discussing A LOT recently.
Perhaps my favourite part of this story, however, is the fact that some of her goalkeepers for this world record came from her Gaelic football team in Bahrain, the Arabian Celts ( @ArabianCelts). Deena is from Fulham, living in Bahrain and I fully yelped at the mention of GAA
