In Trubisky's 9 games, he completed 67% of passes, averaged 6.9 yards/attempt, and had 2 TD for every 1 INT.

On average, his opponents faced gave up 68% completion, 7.5 yards/attempt, and 3.1 TD for every INT.

Trubisky wasn't good this year. He just faced a ton of bad defenses
5 of Trubisky's 9 games came against teams in the bottom 5 in yards/attempt allowed (DET 2x, JAX, HOU, MIN). 0 came against teams in the top 10 (GB 12th was highest).

Trubisky still finished 23rd of 35 qualified NFL passers in yards/attempt.
4 of Trubisky's 9 games came against teams in the bottom three in passer rating allowed (DET 2x, JAX, HOU). 2 more (ATL and MIN) in the bottom 10. 0 came against teams in the top 10 (GB 13th was highest).

Trubisky was 20th of 35 qualified NFL passers in rating.
Trubisky played the easiest imaginable schedule. 3 games against average-ish defenses (GB, NYG), 6 against bad to terrible ones (DET, JAX, HOU, MIN, ATL).

His stats are still below average even before accounting for quality of competition.
I really don't know how to say it any clearer: Mitchell Trubisky is not a good NFL QB.

This should be blatantly obvious after 4 years of watching him play. Stop making excuses for him. Stop acting like he's turned a corner. Stop saying the Bears should bring him back. Just stop
