No one with any intelligence can refute lockdowns if they save lives, but they cannot go on forever. With vaccines, we should now have some form of way out of this and it should be at least broadly detailed. Otherwise, and I mean this very sincerely, what's the fucking point?
I should add that lockdowns are not the main issue here. It's the pathetic excuse for a government. U-Turns are now becoming so expected they aren't U-turns. They seem to be strategic. Otherwise, no one is that shit at their job are they? In the first wave(s) no one knew what to
expect so that was slightly more forgiveable but now with a full year of learning behind us we seem to have even less clue as to how to deal with things? Don't give me the new strain either. That was known in October / November when we allowed certain areas of the country
(London anyone?) To continue to go out and mix, eat, drink and be merry. And then to round it off we gave people fucking permission to mix over Christmas even knowing what was coming.
