Parents: Let me reassure you as best I can. I’m a teacher and, as part of that job, I do the worrying. You don’t do the worrying, your child doesn’t do the worrying; I do the worrying. Relax and breathe. The strain is mine, not yours.
They literally pay me to do this stuff. You’re not paid anything, so leave it to us. Enjoy being at home; enjoy each other; enjoy your exercise time. But do not worry. There is nothing to worry about. We will sort this.
If you’re still worried, DM me and I’ll do my best to reassure you; but stress has never solved a thing. Your kids are amazing and this is a minor blip. And remember: The worry is mine, not yours. I don’t worry about your job; don’t you worry about mine.
And if you just stress naturally, please don’t pass it on to your children. They will be anxious already, whether they show it or not. 90% of teaching isn’t teaching at all; it’s caring and loving and laughing and reassuring. Just do that. It’ll be fine.
