While obliged to work together on Local Transport Plan, lack of trust led to it being a series of projects via compromise & tension

LTP was award winning & good strategic document but not matched in delivery

Merseytravel not invited onto Liverpool Vision Board

Merseytram a bone of contention because relevant details never shared with partners & no discussion - partners therefore couldn't support it with Government

Paradise Street bus station used as ransom chip over L1 development

City Centre Movement Strategy achieved

Delivery of City Centre Movement Strategy continues, along with cruise and ferry terminals and designation of Lime Street as major station

New discussions on expansion of 'major stations' very encouraging along with other station developments

Re-intensify the city as a series of urban villages
making high streets the dynamos of neighbourhoods & build transport on that

Urban Renaissance launched 1999 to create new vision for towns & cities which develop in ways that generate wealth, prioritise social
equity, promote cultural achievement & safeguards the natural environment

Fell like a broken wave in 2010
