One of the consistent features of toxic masculinity is how often it results in yes-men.
I will never not be amazed by cultures that tout "real men" as strong, brash, independent heroes only to see men w/in those same spaces so quickly brought to their knees by bullies.
When exerting male dominance is the prevailing cultural value & definition of manhood, only alpha-males can win. Yes-men are not a bug of such toxic masculinity. They're a feature.
And lest it needs to be said: I'm a fan of healthy masculinity, the kind that uses power & strength to do the right thing, to protect the weak & stand up to bullies.
