If and when we look at a new manager, the new man must make us hard to beat. That's the main trait to look for. We have the attackers to blow most teams out of water - bad form or otherwise - what we need is someone who will make us more athletic and more pragmatic.
Chelsea have always been a team that has outrun and outfought others. What we need is a manager who can build on it and add finer touches instead of opting for someone who will seek to play "aesthetic" football and lose in the process.

There's a balance to be found, as always.
Adaptability was my favourite trait of Pochettino but he's unavailable.

Allegri is very adaptable but there are questions elsewhere - mainly about his academy usage.

Tuchel has shown signs of pragmatism at PSG but he has a difficult personality.

No ideal options right now.
Nagelsmann is perhaps the best option (in the summer) but can he handle Chelsea? He's still a very young manager with his own ups and downs.

I think Tuchel is closer to Conte/Sarri than Allegri is in terms of method, if not style. Intense, detail-obsessed and high-maintenance.
