having watched about 100 episodes of Come Dine With Me over the course of the last few days I have some observations:

- loads of British adults are well fussy and have the palate of a 4 year old
people add boiled vegetables on the plate next to pretty much anything.
or salad leaves straight out of the bag on the plate. not sure who started this movement but they deserve some punishment
fish cakes are probably the most popular starter
ethnic cooking always wins especially if cooked by immigrants
most people have dull knives and cut vegetables like a child would
most do not really cook
anything a bit out of the ordinary (like sushi) hasn't got a any chance of winning
crumble, banoffee pie and pavlovas are on most menus
