A Monday morning rant on how feminism mutated and then destroyed another generation of women:

Consider this. Consider Captain Marvel and Star Wars' Rey. Consider every Hallmark movie where the problem is that the girl is already perfect and the guy just doesn't see it. https://twitter.com/JusticeTristan/status/1345964956206948352
Consider notable female characters in pop culture in recent years. How many of them had major flaws that they had to fix? How many had challenges that they had to better themselves to overcome? I can name a billion male characters that did. Rocky Balboa, Marty McFly, etc...
Granted, that kind of heroic struggle is more of male trope in literature/film/tv, etc... But with all the ladies who've taken on that trope...none of them actually better themselves. The closest thing they have to a tragic flaw is not believing in themselves.
I don't think this is a coincidence. I grew up in the era where everyone, parents, teachers, media, were obsessed with ensuring that girls had high self-esteem. The era where feminism-influenced-and-controlled institutions wanted to make sure that no girl ever felt worthless.
And, sure, I can understand why. We don't want our daughters to feel that their value as humans is determined by a man's sexual interest in them.
We don't want women to think that they exist to satisfy men's lust. Granted, one of the main reasons women were given that impression was because second wave feminism directly taught them that. (Ironically, Cosmo being one of its main propaganda arms.) Nevertheless...
So the next mutation of feminism sought to correct this, but of course, did so in the wrong way because it wouldn't let go of the the presuppositions of 2nd wave feminism, i.e. premarital sex is empowering, abortion is empowering, etc...
It couldn't (or wouldn't) teach girls that your value or power was not determined by a man's desire for you. Rather, it taught them that you were ENTITLED to a man's lust and loyalty (if you wanted it), regardless of how you look and who you are.
Men are SHALLOW if they aren't attracted to you physically. Men are INTIMIDATED by your strength if they find your personality repulsive. If men don't desire you, there's something wrong with THEM, never ever you. You are a princess, a QWEEN.
And, if you want to be a truly empowered woman, you therefore have a duty to reject any standard, be it beauty, behavior, or anything else, that excludes you or indicates that you are anything less than stellar.
So what is the result? A generation of women have been taught that self-improvement is a tool of the patriarchy and that the fight for female justice involves rejecting not just common standards of beauty, but also just super obvious science surrounding health.
It is not healthy to be 200 pounds overweight. It's very obviously bad for you. But now these women have to pretend otherwise because, if they don't, they've betrayed themselves, their tribe, and their entire religion.
In summary, modern feminism worked so hard to ensure that girls had sufficient self-esteem that it taught them to reject the very concept of self-improvement.
If only there were some worldview that could replace this absurd and deadly mindset. If only there were some sort of...philosophical or religions system that taught women "your value is not determined by man's desire for you but by God's love for you."
If only there were a way for women to learn the distinction between false guilt ("I am a bad person for having a slow metabolism") and true guilt ("it is wrong to be gluttonous and treat the body God gave me like a pile of trash").
If only there were some sort of guidebook that said "you don't need Jesus' forgiveness for A, B, and C but you DO need it for X, Y, and Z."
But wait, there is! The Bible is actually the cure for this deadly idiocy that has failed and continues to fail our young women! Jesus is the answer! He's what your daughters need. Bring them to Church where they can find Him!
