If the experiences with the current National Immunization Program (NIP/EPI) are any indication, the processes surrounding vaccine procurement, cold chain logistics, administration, management of adverse events following immunization (AEFI), etc REQUIRE a national framework. 2/n

Add to the complex mix, the overarching regulatory agencies/hurdles/etc. that this whole COVID-19 immunization effort would have to/is going through... I would strongly prefer a national health leadership with a good plan. Pero yun nga. That has to be communicated. 3/n

We all have to be INSPIRED by that plan. And that* - this sharing of that vision of a COVID-19 free nation - is a function of LEADERSHIP. So this is also a call for accountability as it is a call to action. Who is the National Health Authority? What is your mandate? 4/n
