Saw a tweet by @Trader_Dante relating to mental health and thought I'd put some brief information out there which may help someone. I went through some difficult times in life from about 2005 - 2012 but learned a lot coming out the other side. (cont...)
-Feelings and emotions have a large physiological component, they are not purely mental.
-Do a dna test (23&me/ancestry) to find out what underlying 'mutations' you have - a lot of these have a direct link with neurotransmitters and can be optimised. (cont)
-If your gut / digestion isn't working well, you're missing out on a lot of serotonin creation and nutritional uptake.
-Supplements and dietary changes are probably needed to optimise production of various enzymes directly related to brain chemistry. (cont)

I'll leave it there, but happy to help anyone with further info. It took me about 5 years to fill in my knowledge gaps as it's ignored by the standard medical world.
