Inzamam-ul-Haq made his ODI debut against West Indies on 22 November 1991 and made a good start by scoring 20 and 60 in two matches. It was a quiet good start of his career and after that who knows that he would be One of the Pakistan's All time Great!!
Inzamam-ul-Haq has played a total of 378 ODI matches till 2007 in which he has scored 11,739 at an average of 39.52. Inzamam-ul-Haq has scored 83 fifties and 10 hundreds in his ODI career.
Inzamam-ul-Haq is Pakistan's leading run scorer in ODI. He ranks at fifth in the list of most hundreds for Pakistan in ODI format. He holds the record of most fifties by a Pakistani batsman, he ranks at fifth in the list of most fifties by a batsman throughout the world.
Inzamam-ul-Haq has hit most fours in ODI format from Pakistan. He is the only Pakistani batsman to score 20,000 runs in International cricket. His ODI top score is 137 runs against New Zealand.
Inzamam's test career was also very good he has featured in 120 test matches in which he has scored 8,830 runs at an average of 49.60 which include 25 hundreds and 46 fifties. His 329 against New Zealand is the top score of his Test carrer.
Inzamam-ul-Haq has hit most fifties by a Pakistani batsman in Test match (46). Inzi is one of the 4 Pakistani batsman who has scored a triple century in Test. He has hit most fours from Pakistan (1105) in Test. Inzamam has the second best highest test score for Pakistan (329).
Inzamam-ul-Haq captained Pakistan in 31 test, winning 11, drawing 9 and losing 10. While in ODI he captained in 87 matches winning 51 and losing 33 with the win percent of 60.71%.
Inzamam has gained a reputation for being a rather poor runner between the wickets, he has runout himself 40 times behind Marvan Atapattu (41 times)
In December 2012 he was appointed batting consultant to Pakistan's national team on short term basis. In April 2016 he was appointed Pakistan chief selector. The Pakistani Government, in 2005, awarded Inzamam-ul-Haq with the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
