2021 marks 75 years since the New Towns Act was passed, leading to the creation of 32 #NewTowns across the UK which are today home to 2.8m people.

To celebrate, we'll be sharing facts about each New Town on their designation days throughout the year.

Crawley's mix of old and new, built and natural has blended over the years to shape its distinct sense of place.

Happy Birthday #Telford! Designated in 1963 as #Dawley, the New Town sought to provide overspill housing for Birmingham & regenerate East Shropshire coalfields.

Its rich #heritage offer played an important part in its development.
