It started the mood that poured scorn on 60,000 ordinary Vics who legally went for a holiday and their own reasons after a year of lockdown stress.

It assisted gov gaslighting that they were warned not to go to NSW.

And launched abuse on anyone critical of the closure stuff up. https://twitter.com/prguy17/status/1345991148318257153
Most people came back from green areas.

Most had to drive back via unacceptable border queues.

There was no ad campaign telling people they shouldn’t go to NSW.

It was mentioned passingly in a newspaper article.

Giving people hours to pack up and leave is bad policy.
The government were warned ten months ago that they would have to come up with a system to close a border. Ten months.

They were the ones who were warned. But, based on this week, they did jack all.
But they had a plan to pour the blame on ordinary families when things went wrong. That started on New Year’s Eve, continued when Weimar did his early New Year’s Day interviews and kicked in when ALP fan (affiliated?) accounts like pr guy’s broke out the hashtags.
I type this in my rainy inner suburb apartment when I should be on my way from merimbula to see extended family in Canberra. Neither place near not one single COVID case.

A holiday that had the anticipation (and postponed a year cos of bushfires), that helped us through 2020.
So yeah, he’s wrong. The intent of the hashtag was to emphasize a government talking point. And it caused more stress to an already awful situation.
If you had to come back early or cancel your trip, don’t listen to this guy and the labor party sycophants who carried on with the you were warned rubbish. They are glass jawed rando anon nobodies. They favor their political party over ordinary people.
Pure politicians.
So boo to them.
