Okay, so the month was November, the year was 2019. A fetus army (me) was swimming around in youtube amniotic fluid, as most of us do.

then i came across a video of Yoongi talking to the other members about how they should treat their fans with the utmost respect.
That he thinks it isn't easy at all to live as a fan of an idol group, that he knows that we get made fun off, that we spend a lot of money supporting our faves. He understands the emotional investment we have for our faves.
I still have yet to watch the full video (like most of you, I am drowing in the deluge of content, thank you bts bighit no complaint here); but that moment was the start of my healing; a nudge into facing myself fully and accepting that there is nothing wrong at all
with being passionate about something. That what we feel is not too much, a burden, something cringey or something to look down upon.

Yes, the Yoongi states it very directly in the video, but after that, in every interview, vlive, performance, etc. I see that very same
conviction being upheld by all seven of them. I feel that our emotional investment in their well-being, happiness, and success is handled with the greatest care.
Reading Yoongi's interview on Weverse, I am reminded yet again of how exceptional they are as artists. This particular exchange embodies BTS's energy to me. When asked how they maintained humility, Yoongi takes the example of getting #1 on BBHot100, and the sense of "okay, and?"
that they felt. For me this beautifully demonstrates how much they've removed worldly accolades from their sense of achievement. Yes, they appreciate it, and want it (Yoongi wouldn't wish for something he doesn't want), but they are also keenly aware that their purpose is
so much more than that. Their purpose is making music that they love and can help others. They understand that their achievements do not put them above anyone else. They simply are.
He also continues to hold our hands through it all, showing the world that he acknowledges our role in this, but also reminding us that he knows this is just another milestone in the career of one of the most prolific artists in history.
So yes. That interview had me entirely shook, but these parts were maybe the parts that struck me the most as another confirmation that indeed, I did not make a mistake when I chose to stan them.
