Nope. Doesn’t ‘reduce’. Recognises. Sex is about reproduction. One of my dogs is female. That means she is the one who bears puppies. That’s isn’t all she is. But it’s a very important thing about her. It makes her smaller than a male dog for e.g. https://twitter.com/fred_royster/status/1345899195585196033
Makes her vulnerable to sexual attack from other male dogs. Makes her less aggressive than a male dog. I chose her because she was female. It doesn’t matter how she feels about that or if I call her Stanley and call her ‘him’. She remains female.
I am now infertile. Have been since i was 42 years old and had chemotherapy. Doesn’t make me less female. I am not only my womb. But my womb has determined the size and strength of my body and my vulnerability from attack by males. My sex has determined my sexual orientation.
As with my artificial leg, my body and how it works and how people react to it, have shaped much of the course of my life and reduced some of my choices. I will never father a child. I will never have the size or strength of a man.
But just because I do not display stereotypical femininity does not mean I am not a woman or could ever escape being what a woman means. No man can be a woman by declaring he is so, just as I cannot ever be a man.
If you do not understand this or disagree with it, so be it. You may do so. What you are not permitted to do is agitate to change the laws and the very basis of our language to force others to believe as you do. Expect resistance.
