What must be the Approach of Government Regarding Vaccines. Should it waste time and Effort to Convince skeptics or Should they focus their time and energy on Giving vaccines to those are ready to Take it . . . . .

My Opinion Follows

#CoVID19
#VaccineStrategy
#Vaccine
First and Foremost, this is a Pandemic which has already killed more than a lakh people in India directly and probably 40 to 50 lakhs indirectly

Keep it in Mind First

Now, There is a building on Fire
100 people are in it
A fire fighter is coming with ladder
70 people want to climb the ladder
Another 30 people are doubtful of the ladder

What should the firefighter do

#VaccinePolitics
He has to first take the 70 people towards safety
He should not waste his time trying to explain the mechanism of ladder to the other 30 or convince them about the safety of ladder or make them comfortable
Instead of Evacuating the 70 people who are ready,
If the firefighter tries to take lessons, convince the few who are skeptical

The 70 people who want to escape will be dead
The fire fighter will be dead
The other 30 also will be dead
Only after evacuating every one who trusts the ladder
he has to waste time in convincing, Making comfortable, allaying fears

This is very very basic

Same Applies to Vaccines too

1. I want vaccines - Right . Go and get from Govt
2. I don't want vaccines - Right. Please give way to those who want
3. I want govt to convince me and make me comfortable - Wrong - In times of pandemic, every resource needs to be spend in vaccinating some one who is already in queue
Now

You will ask

Why govt gives ads for Polio and Tetanus vaccines

Why can't the same approach be done for Corona

The answer is

1
Polio vaccine
Our target is giving it to
10 lakh kids who are born each year

We have the infrastructure for that
So
We have already got the infrastructure
We have already got the people
We have already got the vaccine vials
There supply is more than demand

So
We spend money for ads and awareness

But
Here

Our target is 7.5 crores
We don't have infrastructure for this number
We don't have vaccines for all at hand now
So
Demand more than supply
-
When supply more than demand
Focus on awareness and ads

When
Demand more than supply
Don't waste money on ads
Focus on fulfilling demand
Assume you are running a bus from Chennai to Tuty

It has 40 seats
But
You have 30 people.booked
You will spend money and time on ads

Suppose
Your bus has 40 seats
But
80 people ask for tickets
You will spend money to buy another bus

This is general rule
And
Applies here too
