Not for the first time, the Government has missed a massive ‘comms’ opportunity with the roll-out of the Oxford @AstraZeneca vaccine.

At a time when Covid cases are rising rapidly and the country is gripped by anxiety and an uncertain outlook for the next few months, the second vaccine should have been the opportunity to create a national effort.
We all need confidence that the Government will not ‘cock-up’ the roll-out and that a supply chain is in place and numbers are increasing...we need a positive message that we are going to beat this, in order for people to follow the guidelines.
Government should look to involve & tell the story of everyone supporting the vaccines and not just those giving the jab. Rather than make empty boasts about being world class, they should look at the people pivoting/offering their expertise to support the drive.
The country needs confidence & belief that, whilst the next few months are going to be extremely tough, there will be better times ahead & we can get there if we act as one. Empty 'world leading' comms boasts & political scoring will simply fall on deaf and fatigued ears.
