THE ENDING TO THE ELECTION is written in the Constitution.

It may be scary, ugly, or even apocalyptic. 🎞

Will this story end as intended, or be lost in footnotes, archived on storyboards? 🎞

🎥 HITCHCOCK, THE BIRDS,
AND THE INTENDED ENDING 🎥

.
ESSAY by Oriboxi🧵 1/19
You remember the ending to Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" from the images in my video.

After a horrific, perplexing series of bird attacks on an entire town — the school shut down, the city on fire, and a family locked down in their house —

...it just ends, suddenly.

2/19
Hitch liked to do that. Let loose, and torture the audience with the scariest scenarios he could imagine.

BEGIN SPOILERS

Little kids getting pecked to death (!) as they flee a gothic schoolhouse. Hundreds of sparrows, suddenly flooding...

3/19
...in from the fireplace, because every door and window is nailed down by Mitch. They got in through the chimney! It's absolutely terrific!

Just senseless, mean-spirited bird attack, for no apparent reason -- on a whole town!

Where am I going with this?

Audiences...

4/19
...were puzzled by Hitch's ending. It ended as suddenly as the attacks started. There was no meaning, no message, no hugging or learning. They just drove away.

Where was the satisfying Hitchcock conclusion?

There wasn't one. It felt like he stopped the film, turned on...

5/19
...the lights, and opened the doors.

You may not know about the storyboards we have of Hitch's intended ending of "The Birds." The scenes were not storyboarded on a whim. When he finished that process, for him, the film was over, and the work was done.

But THIS ending...

6/19
...was not filmed, for financial reasons:

🎬 Melanie, Mitch, his mother and his sister tiptoe into the convertible, quietly close the door, and very slowly move out of the driveway, which is covered birds, resting from an attack.

SPOILERS END

If you do not know...

7/19
...the movie begins with Melanie leaving San Francisco in her cute, expensive car to pursue Mitch (a flirting stranger who riled her) to his little town, bringing a gift of birds for his sister, as a ploy to see him. That is the only background you need.

8/19
As it was, Hitchcock's film scared everyone out of their wits. My sisters today, literally, are still scared of birds because it traumatized them when they were kids.

So after all this mayhem, what happens after they drive away from the house?

9/19
1️⃣ 🎞 First they drive into town. It is a nightmare scene. Stores are burning, everything is smashed, bodies are in the streets, blood and mayhem everywhere.

2️⃣ 🎞 They keep driving, heading away in Melanie's rag top. As they head to San Francisco, the birds follow...

10/19
...them. They discover this as they're pecking through the rag top of the car! Frightened but determined, Mitch floors it and zooms away, leaving the birds in the dust. They're safe.

3️⃣ 🎞 The last set of story boards has them approaching San Francisco. Ahead of them...

11/19
...we see the majestic, iconic Golden Gate Bridge. To their horror, it is covered in birds (just like on the jungle gym, but much, much bigger).

The apocalypse has reached the city. #WrapParty.

This Hitchcock ending was glorious and satisfying. It was pure horror from...

12/19
...the master storyteller, and really, this movie should have been filmed. All his storyboards had been designed to lead up to this moment. It was the point of the auteur's story.

Which explains why we are unsatisfied to see the story end the way it does.

13/19
OUR ELECTION'S ending is already written. The basics are mapped out -- they are storyboarded. Trump won in a landslide, and he must take office. Everything in the Constitution tell us it is the ONLY satisfying ending. There may be several ways to get there, but it's the...

14/19
...ending that must get on film.

What is NOT intended, what is CONTRARY to everything in the Constitution, is for these loser politicians to pack it up, give in, move on, & abandon their Constitutional duties to the rule of law & the sovereignty of #WeThePeople. It is...

15/19
...Un-American, Un-Trumpian, Un-MAGA, and Hitchcock would have hated it.

I think these politicians are cowards. They don't want the blood. They don't want things to get scarier. They don't have the NERVE to stand behind the camera and yell, ACTION! to the entire crew.

16/19
They can't bear to face the producers with the film canisters Providence & Circumstance have presented them.

Doing the right thing is painful, sometimes deadly, and it often means risking suffering to protect everyone.

These fools don't care. They don't have the balls...

17/19
...they don't have the guts, and they don't have the narrative skills to sell this blockbuster to the public.

It's not their job to trash the Constitution because it will require a much bloodier film than they can stomach.

The script is done, and the storyboards show...

18/19
...Donald Trump at the Capitol, not a COVID haven (that is more Biden's style), putting his hand on the family Bible in the cold. He's swearing an oath to God, not sealing a deal with the #CCP.

Biden's ending gets shelved. It would never sell.

I say let's film this f#$^er. 🎬🔚
