30 years ago, one of the most brutal massacres in war history committed by the US occurred in Iraq, along Highway 80, about 32 km west of Kuwait city. President George Bush ordered his forces to slaughter the retreating Iraqi army.

When all was said and done, thousands of vehicles were destroyed and tens of thousands of Iraqi soldiers were slaughtered. Even unarmed soldiers who surrendered were mowed, and gunned down.

Media was also given a different story. U.S. field commanders tried to portray that Iraqi forces were not voluntarily withdrawing but were being pushed from the battlefield.

Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2019 contains a mission called "Highway of Death" set in a fictitious Middle Eastern country. In the mission, the Russians are the ones who commit the atrocities while you play as a heroic CIA agent who fights off the Russians.

TV, Hollywood and Videogames are just one of the many propaganda tools the US uses to white-wash its war crimes. Reality is twisted to create the virtuous and heroic narratives that so many are brought-up with and repeat.
