So having now listened to both the abridged version (“the radio edit”) and the complete phone call (“the album version”), I’ll just start by saying

The president of these United States is a simpleton. I mean, we knew this, but after an hour of his babbling there’s no other way to describe it. He’s basically The Messiah in “Preacher” with a slightly better grasp of language and fewer dancing skills

He’s surrounded himself with fellow simpletons who tell The Messiah whatever he wants to hear and then President Humperdoo repeats it back like a trained bird

The whole thing is grand theatre and an amazingly bad imitation of a mob boss. I mean, imagine the least competent mobster of all time, and then give him a lobotomy.

It’s stupid. It’s dangerous. It’s not really all that surprising.

Just burn it all down, man. I mean, if the party of Trump has achieved anything at all, it’s blowing up democracy in plain sight.
