Personally Pedro's outfit is like... my favorite to be honest. It's literally so good?? The green works amazingly here and I'm glad the outfit design in this movie is literally top notch
I personally wish that they also gave Pedro a little more weight in his adult body like in the comics (you know... to not show that fatness is inherited bad and is a stepping stone to something "better") but they still made an effort to make him look bigger than his siblings so
Darla is LITERALLY such a close second. I was so close to putting it with Pedro's. I love how they used purple here and I am such a sucker for sleeveless designs so

I remember an ex-friend mentioned how stupid Mary's outfit looked and I personally think in that moment I should have bit her.

I hadn't seen the Shazam family too much outside of this movie so I'm so glad this was the introduction I had to Eugene's grey suit. Not only does it most definitely fit him, but it's such a unique shade of color that I genuinely find so nice??
Since I don't like grey, his design isn't that far up my list, but GOD is it definitely not bad at all. I think of it a lot. The costume designers for this movie were on POINT like 24/7 on god... Also off topic but his nerdy Mortal Kombat obsession in adult form is so fun
FREDDY FREEMAN'S SUIT IS SO SO GOOD. I love the color-coded designs through the movie with the characters in all outfits and Freddy's blue costume here is just SO GOOD. Personally, I'm a bit sad that his suit wasn't more unique, especially because his whole thing is superheroes--
--and honestly he deserved something more. I think it would've been cool to maybe give him a golden leg brace (Deathslinger style. Er... minus the golden part) to show that like..?? It's okay that he's disabled! He can absolutely still be a superhero!
Now for the man himself! Billy Batson!
I really do love the red used for the suit. This is honestly the best superhero costume I've seen on screen PERIOD. It's such a unique design and I adore the dorky hood. I especially love how Pedro called it out during the dinner scene
It sets an example on what superhero designs should be. They should be fun, colorful, and a costume that makes you feel hopeful. Even in more "dreadful" lighting it's so beautiful and heroic! It makes you feel like a kid
The design encapsulates what kind of nostalgic feeling you should get from superheroes. It should make you feel young and happy. Superheroes are built on hope. Most of them anyway. There's no reason to find that shameful! Embrace it!
What I'm trying to say is that Shazam's costume is... just so good. It should be the blueprint for all other live action superhero suits. Live-action has the possibility to bring superhero magic to the screen. A lot of times they just choose not to!
Anyway, I bet you're tired of this thread! Go watch Shazam if you haven't already! It is such a good film and has the most engaging plotline for a movie I've seen in a while. By far my favorite movie! Everyone worked so hard on this film and honest to god it's apparent
