Marvin Bagley's family, given my interactions with them are tremendously kind people. I've covered both Marvin in the NBA & his brother Marcus in high school Mr. Bagley, the father, politely declines media interviews when requested, choosing to let his sons speak for themselves
Which is why Mr. Bagley's social media flies in the face of that strategy, particularly since having a lack of trust when it comes to speaking to the media. His social media speaks for itself & as Kings fans know, this isn't the first time its been a distraction to Marvin.
To see a father call out coaches is nothing new, even on social media. But it's been Joerger, Walton and even teammates like De'Aaron Fox over the summer. It's been a distraction. Media makes more of it because of the distraction it becomes to the Kings organization.
Lastly, this isn't AAU, High School or little league. Its the NBA. Marvin Bagley III has a job to do. His father wants the very best for his son. But it's an important year for the Kings big-man & last night's tweet didn't do his son any favors, it just added more adversity.
