Cadet Colleges.

(An educational thread)
In 1954, the first Cadet College in the country was established by Pakistan army, run by Hugh Catchpole, a British Educationist, was given the task to run it. Later, in 1964, it was officially inaugurated by FM Ayub Khan in Hasan Abdal.
what we didn't know back then was that it would lead to a widespread trend of such colleges appearing all over the map of the country, due to their exemplary grooming of young boys and transforming them into men who served as valuable assets to not only...
... the armed forces but, in all fields of employment. These colleges were widely appreciated for the way they transformed the personalities of young men, and thus gained popularity in the public. Their are now many such colleges, some of which are,
Cadet College Kohat, Cadet College Kallar Kahar, CC Choa Saiden Shah, KSK Cadet College Swabi, and many more which I might not be able to name in this thread. The colleges have proven to be very helpful for the army even in war-times...
...as CC Hasan Abdal alone has over 30 cadets who embraced martyrdom after joining the ranks of the army. Therefore their role in the sacrifice for our nation cannot be undermined at all. The colleges offer facilities such as horse-riding, swimming, sports, excellent academics...
... shooting, gymnastics, public speaking, and many other that I cannot even recall. This coupled with top notch hostel environments, are given to cadets from a young age of 12 which leads to them being transformed into well rounded individuals.
However, Cadet Colleges are often confused with military academies. You see Cadet Colleges are for students between 8th and 12th grade, some start from 7th grade too, after which a cadet can decide if or if not to apply for the forces and then join those academies.
The admission process is fairly simple and easy to catch so I'll explain it too. If you want to join in 8th Class, you can sit in the entrance test at ages between 12-14. Entrance tests are conducted in October/November for 8th class students and if you're applying....
... directly into 1st year (after matric or o levels) your test will be held around June/July. Note that syllabi, and these dates, are subject to change depending on each college, and you should check their respective websites for further info. You have to...
... fill in a form, attached in the prospectus of the colleges in order to appear in these exams. Prospectus can be obtained from the college campus. I'll put the link to the colleges' websites which I can find. If you want to tell me your college's link I'll add it too.
And more importantly! A cadet college for girls has been established in Mardan recently, and their is one such college in Kallar Kahar too but i dont have adequate information on those. If you do, lmk I'll add it in the thread too.
Hope you guys liked it, dm for corrections, additions, etc. Take care! Likes, fleet shares and rts appreciated.
